Hello, my gf has a grand am gt model "03" and everytime she hits a bump or pothole her car instantly dies...rather big or small. Any indictation on what that may be?

sounds like a loose battery connection. check positive and negitive battery terminals, as well as fusebox. wire brush it all.

Yep, loose battery connection. Do a wiggle test. Start the engine, and then wiggle the battery cables. See what happens.

Went outsidee and checked the terminals the positive terminal was a little faulty so i tightened it up. Did the wiggle test before and after the tightening and nothing happen. I'll wait to repost tomorrow after she drives. Thanks for the advice.

drove today and the shutting off problem still exist...bummer...any other suggestions?

Try unplugging the MAF and see if that helps. Might have a bad MAF.

drive it with it unplugged and see if anything changes.
