I'd start a new thread, but since this has to do with something I'm doing after the flush I am going to ask here.
How the hell do I access that lower rad hose clamp, I am assuming from underneath, as that is the way the clamp faces, but I am guessing to make that easy you'd want it on a lift, and even then you'd need to get that whole plastic baffle underneath to come off, and I tried everything before, it would not totally come off.
So I am really unsure how I am going to get to the clamp, even with a tool like this.
I guess I'll buy that and hope for the best, but to be honest I just cannot see an easy way to even get that tool onto the clamp, if only the clamp faced upwards I could.
It looks like I could remove the brace bar or whatever it is, then the battery, then if the metal battery tray would come off I may have a chance.
Up for suggestions, I'll try to get pics tomorrow.

Ahh, well if that is the case then I'll return it, I at least need it to help me get to my heater hoses.

After the flushing I did I replaced all hoses and drove it for a while, I have not noticed any coolant loss, or leaks.
So I decided to wait to do the LIM Gasket, I did buy one and have it on hand in case I end up needing it.
I appreciate you asking, I totally forgot to update the thread, work has had me busy.

Ahhhh very nice, that is a GT like mine right?
I see you have the original factory front bumper, mine did not have the Pontiac symbol and letters indented in the bumper, so I know somebody replaced it for some collision issue, and never listed it...
If so they are nice man, the power is nice anyway, I spent like 1,500.00 to 2.000.00 total on fixing stuff, buying the LIM Gasket and all, oil change, trans fluid to do a partial flush, then a change later on. Replaced both belts, supercharger oil, all coolant hoses...
I still have an issue with either a CV Axle or the Intermediate Steering Shaft, need to get that fixed soon, also still need to get the ignition recall taken care of..

Yes, this is a GT. Bought it at a on-line auction, one owner. Pictures were deceiving, it has a ton of small body damage, as opposed to one big body damage that one could just swap out a fender or door.
The "one owner" looks to have treated the GT like a hand tool. Looks like it was never loved, never maintained. I can't get any of the grime out of the interior. Have never seen a more unnecessary neglected one owner car.
It did not run when I picked it up. Placed a jump pack on it, and it started right up. The battery terminals were heavily corroded. Cleaned them up and the GT still would not start off the battery. Charged the battery, still no start off the battery. Thought I needed a new battery, but did a final inspection of the terminals and noticed that the terminal to post connection was not tight, and GM had the smallest terminal to post contact area design I have ever seen. I simply took hose clamps and put them over the battery cable terminal connectors. The GT starts just fine now. Will post a picture of this hill billy modification.
The GT is a nice car, but seems to need all the attention your GT needed when you purchased it.

Sucks it was not taken care of, the one I got was fairly well taken care of, except for the radiator crud.
All the other stuff I did to be sure I did not have to repair any of it in the near future, like the water pump, I replaced it since I had the money...
My batt terminals were corroded also, had to wore brush them, and I replaced the pos connector, it fell apart it was so corroded...
Sounds like you have a project on your hands man, I'd give it a full tune up, and keep an eye on the coolant, even though I am pretty sure all the SC motors after 2005 got the aluminum LIM Gaskets...
Also watch the oil, I think I may have a leaky injector, because I swear I am getting a little gas in the oil, the oil level has went up like a half a quart since I bought it, so I'll change it ASAP, and try to get an oil analysis to be sure it is gas..
If so I'll have to chase down what could be causing it, hopefully not a worn ring somewhere...
