Default Code 41 91 bonneville

So engine light was coming on code 41 long story short replaced cam position sensor car ran fine before I did so. Stopped running altogether l. Put old one back in and replaced crank position sensor car had fouled out plugs engine light on constant now. I replaced the plugs car was running rough due to I assume fouled plugs. Car now runs but engine light on still code 41 and it runs like crap no power? Starts right up and drives does it need to learn again or should it have just ran fine after doing these procedures? Like I said the car ran fine before I replaced anything engine maintenance soon kept coming up it was popping like 5 codes now only the one. Really make no sense to me at all! Thanks.

Was your Bonny running fine before the light and after? I'd look real close at the work you did. Wiring needs to be solid on these low power signals.
I have the factory wiring diagrams and other service literature for your vehicle. Let me know if you need something.

Default Ram fine

Yes I only replaced because of light not due to running issue. I put in new cam position sensor light came in solid. Ran crappy and then left me stranded so I put old cam position sensor back in no luck. Decided to replace crank position sensor now car runs. Car smelled of gas so it was flooding no spark. Before crank position sensor. After had spark but plugs had been fouled out replaced them made no difference. Unfortunately I had some other clown fording around with stuff as well. So I am at a point of giving up. Yesterday after replacing plugs o ram codes again same 41. Tried resetting computer. Could the car need to learn again? Wondering if maybe when this guy was messing around changed spark plug wires and now firing order is goofy or something as well. Your exactly right that was my first thought.

Default Contact cleaner

Is it safe to use contact cleaner on the plugs? Disconnect battery and spray them? I am always Leary of doing that so I don’t!

Contact cleaner won't hurt spark plugs. It won't clean much either.

Default Cleaner on sensor plug

I want to clean the plug that plug into sensors cam and crank to make sure the connection is good. Spark plugs I replaced because when the crank position sensor went out it was flooding car and fouled plugs so I put in New ones! Car still runs like crap but it runs. I resent ecm after all that still code 41 light on all the time. I am going to clean the plugs to the sensors and start car again and see if that helps if not I’m at a loss of ideas.

It many be the ICM that'* messed up, As for the connectors I would NOT use anything EXCEPT electronic contact cleaner.

Oops, sorry, thought you meant spark plugs above. Yes, contact cleaner for electrical plugs.
