The steering wheel is sometimes jerky and can become very hard to turn. Mostly happens when the engine is first started and cold. Fluid is full.

Maybe I can just change the fluid? I'm hoping I don't need a new pump.

sometimes fluid flushes help but it may have something wrong with the rack and pinion called morning sickness what i have done to correct this problem or at least make it somewhat better is dump some lucas power steering additive in it and see if it helps but i would try to flush it out and see if that helps it might be all it needs is the power steering real noisy or low on fluid?
