Default 95 SSE NA 3.8 Bonneville EVAP Can

I've got a question and before you answer make sure you know the SSE cause locations of vacuum components and line routeing is not like other models. My Purge valve is snapped into the top of the EVAP canister. Looking at the line diagram it looks like the line from the fuel tank connects to the lower port below the Purge valve, then the throttle body connects to the top port. That'* all that'* shown on the diagram but there'* a open connector labeled Air on the canister lid and I can't find any loose lines. Does someone have an SSE with the same setup that can verify this port is supposed to be open? It'* not really shown or it isn't labeled in any diagram I've seen so far.

That port does NOT have a tube or line connected.

They should have labeled it 'vent' instead.
