hello. i have a 2004 pontiac grand prix gt na 3800 series 3 with a bad bottom end. i got an older series two out of a park ave. does any body know exactly what i need to do and what parts id have to buy to switch it into my grand prix and be able to keep the top end of my series 3?

Are you sure you have a Series 3 in it? Series 3 didn't come around until after 2005.

im positive it has aluminum intake manifold and a big series 3 plastic cover

Ok, you have the L26 engine, and your donor is the L36. Transfer over anything external from the old engine, to the new engine. This includes ALL sensors.

On a side note, you are playing with Pandora'* Box with an old 96 engine.
