Default 3400 head gasket job

Doing head gasket job on my 2001 Pontiac Montana 3400 engine 180k.
So I am cleaning up my block deck surface gently with a razor blade and I noticed an ever so slight low spot with my fingertip. You cannot see it visually or with the razor blade still looks flat. I am not about to remove the block and tear apart the bottom end to have the block decked. What are the odds of the new head gasket sealing fine or am I in for trouble?

You already asked this question in your other thread. I'm going to delete the other one to prevent confusion.

There is a spec for this with a straight edge tool and feeler gage....

Mike, sorry about the double post. I don't use the Forum that much I'm kind of clumsy with it I see you are from Horseheads. I grew up in Syracuse but I'm living in Maryland now. The low spot is in fact near a cylinder but not on the edge of it. Wishing I could post a photo but I don't believe you can do that here?

You can add an image. A good post side is 1024x768, so you may have to re-size it firstly.
Just look along the top of the reply box and you will see a yellow mountain box "insert image", that is one way of doing it, or " insert link" is used when you have uploaded the photo to photo sharing site like Imgur for instance using the URL / BBC code.

Okay I see how to do it now thanks. I will try posting a pic so some of you can see the location in question I'm talking about. Hey nice Park Ave! My daily is a 2000 Park Ave Ultra f41 suspension. Had it since 2006. Love it!

Even tho that'* a very small low spot, I would think some JB weld/ sanded down would fill that in no problem.
I would try getting that block surface cleaner, before the gasket goes on.
Glad you like my PA. They are comfortable & reliable rides for sure!

What is this block surface cleaner you are referring to?
