Yeah, it won't throw any codes. The PCM doesn't care about that.

Thanks, I appreciate you guys. I'll disconnect it and secure the wire too. I'll replace the compressor and orifice later on, too hot to work on anything here in Florida. Its my drive to work car ( 7 miles ) , i have other vehicles with air, thank God.

BTW, I did disconnect the wires at the ac clutch and that is what i wanted to operate the defroster without engaging the clutch or compressor until i get this fixed if i ever do fix it, also now i can hit the ac button and my radiator fans come on to if i see the temp rising in traffic. thanks to all again, bob

I hadn't thought of that, but yeah when it calls for compressor engage it also calls for fans.
