Not a problem. I was convinced there was a FPR. I looked around, nope, can't find it. After steeping back and looking at the bigger picture I realized this is a returnless fuel system. Just has the one fuel line in, and that'* it. Also realized I don't care for the engine much. The injectors are under the intake manifold. As well as the fuel rail.

That'* one of the things I was thinking. That'* why I mentioned the TSB talking about the HB not being seated. Made me think the crank sensor might not be picking up right. Might have to see if I can toss the oscilloscope on it.

Good idea, however gauge reads correctly. And when I scan the engine I get the correct temp displayed.

No, I believe I have it narrowed down to the crank position sensor, but haven't got around to changing it.

Thanks, I didn't see a pattern before but the short drive, heat soak angle fits what I have been seeing. I'll probably get it taken care of tomorrow. Will report back as soon as I can say for sure that it was or wasn't the problem. I did notice that it takes longer for it to recover as the outside temps go up. No problem during the winter months and I have experienced this on and off for at least a couple of years. In hindsight it also cranks a little longer before it starts on warmer days lately where normally it will start as soon as the key is turned.

If your going to have the crank sensor changed, make sure they do a CASE learn.
