What is your shift indicator doing when you power the vehicle on?

Does it change at all if you shift from P down to 1st?

It was the mode switch, the retaining bracket broke and jammed vehicle in gear would not fully go into park, enough to engage park brake but not enough for sensor, no trans damage new switch in she fired right up, 1100 dollars later my bonne back on the road
