Default 2002 GT No A/C Period..

Greetings,

Ok so when i bought the car a few weeks ago i was told the AC worked great. (i know i should have tried it but i bought it from a Friend..)

Anyhow, Press the button on the Dash And *POOF* Nothing... Doesn't light up or anything. Where do i start being somewhat Mechanically Declined.. ?

P.*.

I think I'll Never buy a car from someone i know ever again. The lady friend i bought it from told me Something was rolling around in the trunk on bumps. Yeah.. a Broken Strut, Still in the Tower. lol..

I would check the A/C fuse first (owners manual should show the location). Then if that fails try to get the pressures checked. If that is in good order check the plugs going to the A/C compressor. If those are in-line I would look for a new A/C Control panel.

Define "nothing" for us. Does the blower still work? Does your air mix actuator work (can you choose between outside air and hot air)? If the answer to both of those is yes, then the problem definitely lies in the A/C system or the control panel.

Everything on the Console Works fine. The blower, The Heat, The Rear window Defog. But as far as the Button for the A/C I have nothing. When i press it, No light, No Click.

Which fuse am i after? Checked all in both panels. Fuses were ok.

Ok. Checked all Fuses, Didn't replace any, A/C Light works now... ? Blows warm, Checked connection to Compressor, Looks good.

When i press the button for the A/C, I get no Click or anything from under hood. Light comes on Thats it.
