Default 2001 grand am idle and shift problems

Hey, new to this forum. Got myself a new to me 2001 gr am. 2.4l. Idles at 1400rpm hot and shifts really late driving. Unplug the tps when running and the idle returns to normal so I replaced it. It changed nothing, it still runs the same. The tps shows 7%throttle and .47volts in the datastream. Has no codes and no apparent vacume leaks.

Any ideas?????

Start with cleaning the throttle body. Also, are you sure the TPS is installed right? Take a look at this. https://www.gmforum.com/normal-maintainence-138/throttle-position-sensor-tps-replacement-284336/ Should be close.
