hi all its been awhile since ive been to this site but i got a lot of help and now my girl has this grand prix and it keeps throwen a p1441 code i was told it was a gas cap code so i bought a new one but its still doin it also i changed the oil but the light keeps comin on when she starts her car and after ten minutes of drivin it goes off anybody have any ideas on this one thanks

First thing to do is ID that code properly.

P1441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge flow

This would probably point to a vacuum leak or bad evap soleniod.

Is this car supercharged or not? (Relevant for location of the evap purge valve.)

i know where the evap is i saw it oday bu no it is not supercharged i looked around the hoses as the car is very ruff from 800 to 1100 rpms and is usin alot of gas and i also noticed today that this car has a gohst as when we got it the highbeams did not work and the horn did now the horn keeps blowin the fuses and the lights work

okay so i checked the evap selanoid and its still good however theres anoherone before it hat looks like it vents the line and it wouldnt click for me it just got really hot could this be the bad p1441 and if so wat is it called cause my partstores have no idea what it is and i have o go to a junk yard for it
