I have a 1992 Sunbird convertible. Someone ripped off (what I call) the cart bumper on the passenger door. I am having trouble finding a replacement. The GM OE site lists a part that looks like a thin rubber strip when the one I am looking for was wide (maybe 3-4 inches?) that went all the way across the side of the body. My questions are, does anyone know what the real name of the part or part number is and are there any possible places I might find one? The color is not important as I will have it painted to match. I am including a stock picture of the vehicle type similar to mine. Being new to the site I hope I am following the correct way to ask this. Thanks.

I'm guessing the part you're referring to is called a body side moulding. If your local boneyard doesn't have one they should be able to find you one. If you can't find one that way, check with a body shop, they may have additional resources.
