Default ‘97 Bonneville wiper pulse board

I have a 1997 Bonneville SE and I’m searching for the windshield wiper pulse board but not having any luck at all. I’ve been looking off and on for a couple of years now. Will someone direct me to a source? Please. I sure would be thankful.

If you couldn't find one in two years I think I'll pass on looking for one.

I would hate to think that I’d have to junk the car just because I couldn’t drive it in the rain. My thinking is that a new forum member might just have a board in his spare parts pile.

Yeah I can't easily find one.

What is wrong with the current one?

Well, they will start only in the “high” position and then “low” speed will work. To get them to stop I have to pull over, turn the ignition off then restart the engine and I’m on my way. From time to time there’* slight variations of this.
It’* not easy owning a car that hasn’t been made in about a decade.

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Try 25 years. The last of your platform was built in 1999. I have a 1997 LeSabre (the conservatively dressed sibling to your Bonneville), so I know the pain. Still able to get most parts though. This, on the other hand, I can not find anywhere. Your best bet would be to find one at a salvage yard. I've also seen folks repair these boards. If you're electronically inclined, you could look into doing that.

This is the only part I haven’t been able to find, but it’* really never needed many. It’* been an extremely dependable car. I will morn it’* demise.
I was holding off on the salvage yard but it looks like my last hope.
Electronics is beyond me. Thanks for the response.

You're welcome!

At the self-serve salvage yards the motor with pulse board should be ridiculous cheap. Pick up a couple while you're there. Slap the whole thing in so as to not take a chance of messing up the board while moving it between motors.

Yeah, we’ve got a GM salvage yard here.

Default Wiper pulse board update

I finally found a salvage yard that had a wiper motor complete. After plugging it in (not installed yet) I turned the switch on and it started right up. The problem was it only had one speed and that was in all switch settings. Big let down.
I went back to my internet search and this time found a unit on Ebay. I just finished the install and all is fine. Finally.
