Default Will 255'* fit?

I'm getting ready to buy a new set of tires. I was wondering if 255/50'* will fit on my stock 17" rims? If so, I will be getting the Rikon Raptor'* made by Michelin.

alot of us with the 17" wheels move up to 255/50-17 tires.
i had 65k on my Michelins (235/55HR17) darn good tire , just wanted a wider tire and the BFG'*(255/50-17) G-Force T/A KDWS only set me back $132.00 a tire. the BFG'* have the same treadwear rating (400) as the Michelin'* so i hope to get about the same mileage. the 255/50-17 tire has the same diam. as the stock tires just a little wider. the car looks good with the wider tires, GM should have offered the 255'* as a option. did i say the car looks GOOD. GO GET YOUR NEW TIRES ! ! !

The largest im gunna run is a 245...but im still keeping my stock 16" rim

You will connect FAR better with that 255 and yes, it looks pretty sweet!

Yeah mike_peperni ran 255/50R17s on his 00 SSEi with swoopies and had no problems, so im pretty sure there should be no big deal.

RIP

Once again, a moment of silence for that poor car.
