What voltages are best for the TPS mod?

Maybe we need to clarify what a chirp is, because I've dragged him before, one of our cars made a lot of noise coming off the line, and it sounded like angry tires to me. He blamed me, but I am not * sure.....

This is all very interesting..... and a bit troubling. I just need to get a quality scantool on this thing to get the whole picture. Maybe I'm not getting all my power to the ground because of excessive driveline loss.
What'* the concensus on the TPS? Should I try a new unit from Autozone? I can always return it if there'* no difference. I always get a 100% throttle reading on the scantool when I'm WOT, but perhaps there'* a discrepancy at part throttle conditions?

Is your throttle actually fully open at WOT? Can you look at it while someone holds the loud pedal down?
Before you buy anything, you need a good scantool on that thing.

As long as I've been around here, it'* still hard to resist the urge to shotgun parts at this car
I'll have to visually check of the throttle mechanism is travelling its full range using the foot feed. Are you wondering if my throttle cable is out of adjustment?

my 96 would never fail to chirp them and most of the time would leave a pretty decent set of marks...if you did the only turn and go it would just scream.
for comparison i can still leave a pretty decent set if i remeber to turn the TC off, and i dont even have low end torque anymore, especially not the kind the L36 has.

Marks? I've never been able to leave a set of marks with this car! The engine winds up nicely, but it doesn't have any snap when I punch the throttle off the line. I don't want to admit it, but I think it'* probably another sign of my transmission heading south :?
