the Magnaflow will give you more of a European sedan sound, ballsy enough to get your attention but subtle and refined, my idle was not much louder than stock...and with my gutted airbox the engine was actually louder than the exhaust inside the car...

if you want your Bonnie to sound like a big ol truck or musclecar then get a flowmaster..."yeehaw" not included

if you want it to be subtle and still turn a few heads go with Magnaflow...

and ive been able to find Magnaflows for 20-30 bucks cheaper if that influences you at all

check out http://www.fle-online.com they have some good prices and free shipping.

If you want a V8 sound go with the Flowmaster. The ONLY way. Magnaflow may have better flow, but the flowmaster sound is AWSOME! Much loader and has more grunt to it.

Does anyone here seriously think ANY muffler makes our cars sound like a V8?

Seriously...not trying to disrespect anyone, but the only six cylinder cars that come close to sounding like a V8, are those which have true dual exhaust from cylinder head to tailpipe, or "split manifolds" for the older gang here...

My car has been mistaken for a V8 on several occasions. Including by many muscle-heads and car buffs.

A flowmaster 80 series sounds like most like a V8 at idle.
If I would put muffler on a L36 it would be a Flowmaster 80 and if I did some thing custom with the exhaust a Borla or a Flowmaster 70

Same here. I need to get some audio clips up of my exhaust sound. It is purley awsome. My car too has been mistaken to have some small block V8 in it.

The best part is when you set off car alarms due to the sheer sound It'* great!

yeah, I get tons of compliments on it. It great if I go flying by someone on the gas. Before I has them all they hear is */c whine then once I past them it'* this all out exhaustt note that can't be mistaken. It'* very unique esp. with no there modded bonnies in the area...

I have a Magnaflow F Body muffler on my 90 which has a 97 drivetrain. I needed to add a resonator to calm the raspy, ricey sound. It'* acceptable now, I guess but I also have a Flowmaster ready to go on my 93. I hope to get a more masculine tone from it.

Personally, all of the audio clips I've heard in this thread and throughout the forum don't really sound like the real thing. I usually see addendums that say something like "it'* really deeper than the clip" or "the clip doesn't do it justice", etc. You can ask 10 people and get 10 different opinions. Unfortunately, ya gotta bolt it on and see if you like it
