what exhaust system sounds the best? My friend has a 3800 ll with cherry bombs on it and it sounds like a po'ed lawn mower. I dont want my 3800 to sound like his.

Here is a small sample of some sound clips from Series I Bonnevilles.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...84&highlight=A

There are many topics about exhaust (and many sound clips) and if you hit the "search" button up on top of the page and type in "exhaust", you will get to hear many more.

This is a real tough one to answer because there are so many opinions on what sounds good to different people. Do the "Search", listen to some exhausts, and go from there.

The pikksburger with dual white Bonnies is correct. Although the sound clips provide a rough idea...in person, the sound is often different.

Thanks for covering me, Pat

To be completely honest, I've never heard a good sounding FWD 3800 exhaust, compared to the refined sound of a Euro car, or the rumble of a V8.

i agree, the 3800s are bastardized somewhere in the middle, and can only be made to sound "not bad"

Our cams are pretty aggressive, particularly when compared to european cars. That'* why. And a 6 will never sound as 'smooth' as an 8.

I agree with the Magnaflow, however. Mag cat, Mag resonator, mag muffler.

I agree, but I remember April '05 at IDD when Rob Archer first pulled in with his Impala SS. That is the best sounding L67 I've ever heard. Was verrrry close to a V8 burble
I'll try and dig up what he did to his.

And videos really don't do a car justice.

(can you say meet in the 'burgh?!)

rrounds has one of the best that I've heard. He'* got dual 3" hookers. I've got pretty much a straight through exhaust, I was thinking that if I couldn't make it sound good, I was gonna make it loud.
