ok im robbing this post for my own personal use. STICK EM UP!! ok if you drain the coolant out of the radiator will it kinda create a vacuum and suck the coolant out of the overflow? if not i could always siphon it out or somethin. anywho how much coolant is left in the system after draining the radiator and overflow? is it equivalent to a coolant flush? cause even though my 'rents dont seem to understand preventive maintenance id like to keep my baby running goooooood.

What is that little 4"x5" cooler under the car at the back passenger side of the engine cradle?
I though that was some sort of oil cooler. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyone know what it is if it isn't an oil cooler?

I've seen that little cooler on a 93 LeSabre, and I think it'* for the oil. Can't remember if my car has one, but since I have the 3-core radiator like SSEi95 (and wildman, too), I'd bet the SSEi doesn't use that little one. It'* a little finned jobber, right behind the oil filter, right?

I must have posted that while you were posting that.
Power steering cooler? No way. Damn. I've never traced the lines, but by the location, I'd guess that makes sense.
BTW guys, great thread. Lots of good info here. Differences between the number of cores on different models and years......especially good info for the SE crowd. Good work, and good thinking. Keep it up.

And for those of you SSEi owners who were thinking about maybe adding a tranny cooler, I think it'* worth noting that although I don't know about the other model years, my '92 SSE */c and '93 SSEi both have a tranny cooler mounted in front of the radiator, and it looks like it'* the same size as the radiator (30" x 17"). It seems odd to me that mine both have the 3-tank radiators for coolant, engine oil, and tranny fluid, and also have a large tranny cooler in front, and even with all of that they still run warm much of the time.
