I'd be VERY weary of that Bosch sensor. I don't have personal experience with Bosch, but our cars don't seem to like their products :(
Since it'* not installed yet, I'd really recommend an AC Delco sensor.

Then I am very glad I haven't installed it yet and grateful for the heads-up. Would an o2 sensor really help with just 31k miles?

At that point, I'd probably devote my money elsewhere. Can you tell if the sensor is being "lazy" with its voltage changing?

I have no clue, haven't scanned the O2 sensor and wouldn't know what to look for if I did. Car runs fine, just has KR.

I'll take the sensor back tomorrow and get a fuel filter and then clean the TB.

KR=Knock retard

When the PCM reads the knock sensors and pulls or retards timing to prevent engine damage

At 31k I would dobut your 02 sensor needs replaced however you scan 02B1S1 at idle and see if cylces properly high low, high low (700-200ish) quickly.

As for KR killers I battled KR for a LONG time in my early modding days you can get rid of it the quick way or you can mess around for a long time trying small things like I did.

Here is the easy way.

Until you do air moving mods such as high ratio rockers or a cam put a 3.5 pulley on the car. Put a FWI system on the car and put an aftermarket PCM in the car being sure to run at least 93 octane.

Some of the KR you are seeing may be torque management. When you say you saw 4kr intially and then it went down to 1 did you squeal the tires or get low traction? An aftermarket PCM will help with the torque management as well as give you a better fuel curve, reduce some KR and make the car just more fun to drive.

You do not need to change the exhaust however you may want to add headers once you have done a cam or rockers as this will allow you to get down a 3.2 or maybe a 3.0 pulley.

no i didn't squeel them at all. started from around 18mph. I already have an FWI also. I need to scan in cooler weather because I got the KR in 78* weather and its been colder than that lately. I should be able to pinpoint what temps I get KR in and when I'm safe so I can know when to stay out of the boost. I'm going to wait a few weeks for the rockers because I need to build up some cash (at least $1000). I plan on getting a performance cat so my car will get louder and hopefully that will help a little with the KR too.
