Well take my advice if your thinking about a pulley, get the puller. I used a 3-arm puller and it bent my stock pulley to the point where it'* retired. I got it off and my dad got the new one on while I was working. Um got it running and held it at around 3-4k rpm and it did fine for 3 seconds then it started hesitating and the whole motor would twist when it hesitated. So.. I got KR out the ******* and my stock pulley is fucked. So then I take it for a spin, it is a little faster, its not pulling what 30 extra hp and 50 ft-lbs of torque should pull.
So I'm taking it to work tomorrow to scan it and see how bad the KR is and I'll probably end up ordering stock size for the pulley system.
I just hope it'll be ok for the 20 mile trip to work and then 20 miles back.

how did you get the 3.4 on without the tool? its not crooked?
NEVER use a 3 jaw puller on the S2
dont go back to the 3.8, dont let it scare you off.. you just need to go about it better
i bet you arent having as much KR as you think.. i bet there is another problem causing the hesitation
remember the PCM takes time to adjust to new toys, and driving styles

stuck the thing in the oven at 500 degrees and then a few taps with a hammer (very light taps
) Yeah and I learned my lesson with the 3 -jaw puller, but at least I have a mangled pulley for my collection

If that 3.4" is on correct it will still take your PCM about 100miles to learn the new boost and such. So give it alittle while and all should be alright as long as you have a few others upporting mods with it and are running premium gas.

whats the highest amount of KR I can have without causing damage? Does the whole PCM adjustment thing mean that I may get more power?
Pulley spins fine, I do kind of worry about it spinning since its just press-on, Im thinking about tack-welding it on there, but then again I might need to replace that rubber joint in there.

Wow, we tossed that 3.4 press on, onto my car this summer and it freaking LOVES it..
never stumbles not even the smallest bit..my plugs are close to original as well...
Odd how some cars react to it?
