You got me thinkin... So when I went to get my bro just now ( 16 year old ought to be able to legally drive), I grabbed my handy dandy Measuring tape, Had my bro rev it to 4K while I measured, I got 25mm upward, and 13mm backward movement, luckily I dropped my Charcoal, and I use a RX-4140 with a smaller overall dimension than your RX-4750, My new CAI box has more movement allowed, So I think I'm fine.

Course all his buddies were lovin the car, to beleive they've never seen a full size sedan **** and git... Hopefully got a few Bonne guys out of it....

You mean the Samco Sport reducer i got from smellbird will make building a CAI box that much easier?

BonneMeMN, if the pipe moves with the engine, it will need a slip fitting on the CAI box.

I've never seen my engine torque, but I can feel it torque a lot sometimes. So much so that I think something needs to be fixed (motor mount). Of course the intake also rests on the ELC compressor and still rubs against it too much. I haven't found a solution yet.

Bill did you finally solve that problem?

Pete, did that wear through the heat tape we put on it?

I will check that in a little while. I would not be surprised if it were worn through, but I hope it isn't. I can't think of anything else to put on it.

I was going to use contact cement to attach a neoprene buffer between them, but never got around to it. I figger if I just keep my foot in it, the torque will keep it away from the compressor

Still on my list of things to solve.

I remember you saying something about the neoprene. I think if I could permanently attach something rubber or soft on top of that compressor it wouldn't scratch the paint off. But I suppose if it never 'burns' a hole through the intake pipe I could live with a little paint scratching off.
