a 92-95 SSEi was already put on a B body frame..and it worked quite well. But it was certainly not cheap i imagine.

Yeah, I remember that thread from a year or so ago. Basic layout was to take the entire frame and driveline, then cut out the floor of a bonnie, remove all the sub-frame bracing, and set it down on the shortened frame to match up the wheelbase. Was a heck of a lot of work. Not sure if that'* really worth the effort.

If a V8 is what is in order, I think going to the LS4 from a crashed 2006+ would be the best solution. (you'd want the whole wreck and have plenty of green in your wallet.) It'* a pretty advanced motor, and would need it'* PCM to work properly (all that drive-by-wire and Displacement on Demand stuff.)

For the work involved, go find a '70s/80'* RWD Bonneville and save it from the crushers.
