Default Upgrades

So the headers are out of the question for the 3800 Series 1 Supercharged motor. I would like to get 300hp or more out of the series 1 motor but can't find any web sites for the upgrades. Alot of sites for the series 2 motor so. Does any one know what or hard of a job is it going to be to drop the L67 H-body into a W-body car. Any info would be nice. :?

The first thing we need to know is what car you have. Can you put that (year/model/trim) in your signature by editing your profile?

After we know that, we can give you some direction.

I have a 92 Bonneville ssei with a Series 1 supercharged (L67 motor) with a Eaton M62 roots supercharger. The motor will be going into a 93 oldsmobile cutlass se with a DOHC 3.4 motor. Car #3 a 1997 Bonnville se with a Series II motor. This is a very nice car to drive. Fully loaded with everything but a Supercharger.

Can you please put that information in your signature, so when people read your future posts, they know what you drive?

Your best bet from this point to get close to the number you want:

1. Good 3" CAI or FWI.
2. MILDLY port and 'clean up' your exhaust manifolds, and repair all the cracks as you go (you have cracks, trust me).
3. Get 93-95 L67 heads. Mildly port them if you like. Then get the 1.8 rockers from ZZP.
4. Get a 92 SSEi Jet chip (custom order).
5. High flow cat.
6. Smaller pulley (we'll assume you have a scantool by this time) after you rebuild the supercharger.
7. Replace your aging fuel pump with an OEM or Walbro.
8. Port match (don't OVERport!) your LIM to your heads.

9: (most important) Start a tranny fund. You'll need it.
