Right now.. my engine is pretty dirty.. All i have done is paint the engine cover black with red lettering. any suggestions on cleaning methods, or painting methods?
Also, right now i have a sceptre filter dangling off the stock tubing. It looks really lame, and im planning to get some piping for it, and also a box. Any ideas for cheap materials that will make it look clean, and custom looking?

You can clean up the engine with simple green, just keep it out of the alternator. Once clean then wipe down plastic with armorall wipes. There is a write up on making a cold air box in the performance section of tech info.
Just about anything you can take off, you can paint. Just make sure you use High Temp paint, or it wont last long lol. I have everything from my Coilpack to my strut bar painted, still have to do my valve covers tho. Just remember that anything you take off that has a gasket, its normally a good idea to slap a new one on before putting the part back on. As far as cleaning, I normally just steam it, but I'm going to have to try this Simple Green stuff.

Simple Green works the best and it'* environmentally friendly as well. If you want a great shine after wards, warm up your engine and then hit it with Black Magic Engine Shine and rinse. You won't be disappointed!
