Yes... Cooney ran the GT1 before his accident, and that Snuggles.bf guy just put a GT1 in his car. My reground cam approximates a GT1, though it'* a bit more mild. You can run one with the stock TC for sure.

Yes. The GT1 or similar regrind is the only way to go if your keeping the stock converter. But you defintely NEED a pcm SPECIFICALLY for the cam. ZZP stocks pcms that go with the GT1 so that it is tuned out of the box.
I ran the GT1 with no tune and it was baad.
And IIRC someone got 190 something whp with the GT1, 3" DP, ported TB, and PCM. (Stock heads & exhaust manifolds)

Okay, its840 started another thread about rockers and cam so I've been reading it.
now it'* clear that a cam will be more effective across the powerband while rockers will be of greatest benefits in the upper rpms.
Now I'm kinda leaning towards rockers since its ease of installation and ease of removing if demodding. I was curious if the 1.8 rockers won't impact the lower end? I don't want to lose the low end grunt, the low to middle is pretty good but middle to high sucks so it would be nice to open it up so it'* broad across the powerband. Also will this be a feel in the butt mod or just there but you don't know it.

The loss in the low end shouldn't be too noticeable and you should definitely feel the 1.8s in the mid to upper.
Have you thought about or are going to get pems? They would go nice with the rockers.

Loss of low end torque is not even noticeable with higher ratio rockers, but the gains at upper RPM'* will make your eyebrows raise.
High ratio rockers=ease of installation, limited gains
Cam=harder install, power gain across the board.
Again if you lose any low end you wont notice, but you will probably drop 1-2 psi, which you just counteract with a smaller pulley if you don't get KR.

once i go and put the headers on how much lowend will i lose
