I was kinda wondering the same thing...The external transmission cooler made me even more curious.I don't really want to tear the transmission apart since we just replaced the gasket..plus it wouldn't be fun to do in the college parking lot.lol...or would you be able to do it without dropping the pan?

I am a little ignorant when it comes to transmissions (especially GM)..so thanks for answering these questions for me

Another things is..we know the motor and tranny were pulled out of the car....It sounds a little rougher at idle than my friends stock ssei but that could be something else too..but then there is the fact that it felt like it had more than 240hp when I got it...and since I added the JMB CAI I have been finding it hard to get the tires to grip under 1/4-1/2 throttle even in 2nd gear....

It's hard to say when you don't know the history. Possible there's a after market cam. Best way to tell is look at the tune. If the cam is after market the P0300 DTC code will be set to don't report.
