Its a 4t60-hd.
Whats the mileage?
Hows the fluid level and color?
Transgo makes a good shift kit but it must be installed during a rebuild.

It'* got 213k on it, and I believe it'* the factory tranny
Iether way it needs a flush and filter, but I'm not driving it right now cause the *.C. is out onit http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=65234
I know the shift kits have to be done during rebuilds, thats why I was thinking of putting a shift kit in it right away.

Transgo is the only kit to go with.

Already went there and look at them, was going to ask if that was the one I needed or not, how much do they usually run?

Your transmission cooler lines should have been replaced under recall. Check with a dealer and run your VIN to see if the work was done.

Installation labor cost on the shift kit is significantly higher than the price of the kit. There'* alot of manual labor involved. The valvebody goes through quite a transformation.

try replacing the vaccum modulator on the front of the trans also check for vaccum leaks that could cause shift lag
