A big sore spot for me with the Bonneville is GMs lack of offering a manual transmission.
If you had a mountain of cash, a team of german engineers and all the free time in the world could you get one to fit? Say from a 3800 Firebird, but then it'* RWD and did it even come with a manual? Maybe GM will produce a manual for the GXP but then it would'nt fit my car!
Personally I think it'* a lost cause but if theres any way to do without the german engineers I'd consider it a possibility. Just wondering what some thoughts were on this subject.

Don't give up all hope. I asked the same question a while back. What I found was that the Fiero guys have manual tranny'* in their cars and have been meshing them with the 3800'*. It may be possible to take a fiero tranny and put it in your car with your 3800. IT would still take some customizeing and what not but it probably could be done, just never has been to a Bonneville as far as I know.
