I was wanting to know if anyone knows how to permanently disable the traction control on a 2000 and newer bonneville se. I don't know about everyone else but i find it to be very annoying. I am getting ready to do some mods and i want that to be one of the first things that goes. Is there a set of wires I can cut or something, or a circuit i can disable?
You can disconnect your wheel speed sensors, but you'll also need a PCM to remove the rest of it. www.intense-racing.com or DHP should be able to help with that.
The only way is to pull the wiring connectors off the wheel speed sensors on the front wheels. This disables traction control but also sets the dic and abs lights.
I was just reading up on this in my shop manuals this morning. Its not going to be easy to bypass with just a switch. There are 2 wires that run from the ebcm to the pcm, "torque requested" and "torque applied", Im not sure what voltage or signal is present on these two wires to indicate "normal" operation?
