Default Totally N00b question

I suspect...
I was reading an article by former Jalopnik writer Murilee Martin on The Truth About Cars (link: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...superchargers/) and was wondering if the Super Chargers from a non discrimitive list of 3800 drivetrains from the early 90'* to 2005 could be taken off and added to anything else that might be about the same size? This seems interesting, although I suspect this is a noob question

well you could always put a */c from a SC 3800 onto a NA motor with a top swap kit as far as making them fit motors other than what they came off of you can do anything as long as you have the money to finance fabrication

There are a couple of guys in FL that are working on a Lower Intake Manifold that would allow a M90 to be bolted on to a 3100, 3400, 3500 or 3900. It is still in the planning stage with only computer models at this point.

A supercharged 3900, eh? I wonder what kind of BHP and Torque ratings would be?

Well, N/A it has 240hp/240tq. So add some boost to that and hold on.

Heres a conceptual question I have, since I'm not very hands on with the different engines, nor am I engineering inclined. I am sorta unimpressed and to a degree disappointed to GM'* lack of participation in the horsepower war thats going on. 240 horsepower out of a 3.9? Nissan got 255 out of a 3.5 6 years ago. I know in terms of highway driving it doesn't even really matter and these numbers are really bragging rights, but anyways, is this 'lack of power' the result of using 'ancient' (but proven and reliable) pushrod technology?

Gm'* 3.6 V6 in the Camaro supposedly has 312 HP for the 2011 model year. I think 2010 had like 305 HP.

There is a person on thirdgen.org putting a M90 on a LS series motor.
