Just curious but what advatages could I get with a chip?

My car is governed at 140 mph, with 3.71:1 gearing...will a chip improve these numbers?

I'm not really to up to speed on chips yet :?

You wouldn’t need to get a computer flash on your Aurora unless you added performance parts that went outside the realm of the current computer. The other reason would be to improve your top speed. A sc is being made for the N* and the same system or a turbo can be added to a Aurora and then a computer will obviously be needed.

is there any way to make a chip for the 96+ Bonnevilles. Why is the Jet chip quit making them after 95?

If they use a chip yes..If not then they will need to be flashed.

Both can be done

unless your runngin Y'* or ZRs... I wouldnt worry about it... I think because my car had GT+4s stock (149mph rate) that its not governed till 145mph or so... Cuz ive seen 195km/h = 115?mph.. with lots of pedal left... but my current tires are regatta 2s which I think are only 118mph rate (T)

a buddy of mine has a *-10 ZR2 with a jet II and it does not remove the speed limiter on the
truck....still stuck at 93mph!

The Hypertech Power Programmer is what he need to get the job done...

Maybe there is one for our cars?

So lemme get this straight, you can reprogram Jet chips too? Some time ago I got the Stage 2 chip, but just a standard chip. Now it could really use a custom reburn to compliment all the performance I added. Can you do this? I'm all for the "lower price test dummy" idea ;D

I don't believe you can reprogram the Jet mod...
the Hypertech reprograms your car internal computer..

This is not a plug for my product but some info i found maybe you know it maybe not.

There is a core of info on private sites and affiliate sites. This info is shared with companies offering reprogramming for the big companies like Super chip and jet.

They are usually fairly conservative and try and bridge as many cars as possible. This means unless your car has a very big market and many many cars then SC or jet just give us the run of the mill deal.

I have talked to many many many chip programmers and found there are two guys who will actually do fully custom units who know how to reprogram the chips and reflash the computers with the same ability as the guys at the big three. There are probably a dozen in the US who can do this kind of work and from them a few who can take your numbers and apply them to the chip successfully without the need for the car. Out of those i have found two who are willing to take the time to actually do it and back the programming with a warrantee.

It is going to become more and more important to rely on these guys due to the new movement by gm to give only a snippet to each programmer so "leaks" are next to impossible.

And it only works with the newer trucks.
