The Thrasher CAI, is the nicest product they have. As far as fit...they were designed for a 97+ GP, so may not fit right on other cars (unless they have since added model options). This is one of the only CAI none of our cars have used, but no one has ever complained about gains.

FWIW - When I first got my SSEi (about two years ago) the first mod I did was the INTENSE FWI. With that mod alone, my SSEi dyno'ed at 205whp. A typical stock 3800SC dynos ~195 whp
10whp from just a FWI-I call BS...... looks like you have no baseline to start from so that showing mis-information. I bet your car would dyno at 199whp or better before the FWI.

H*** my new (2000GP) dynoed at 203 a week ago.....BONE STOCK. I bet I'd only see 2-3whp gain from ANY intake.

For what it'* worth it was only 6 and not 10whp. That seems totally reasonable to me anyway.
That'* interesting about the 1/4 mile time though.
Well if you don't get much hp/torque improvements then why don't we run just a K&N drop in for $40?? they claim this is worth 5-10hp!

The K&N drop in was the first mod I did when my SSEi was new. It had little to no effect.
Converting to the open cone CAI was night and day seat of the pants difference.

Remember that an engine is just an air pump. Let it breathe and it will make more power.

You have one of only two JMB'* to ever hit this site. The first one didn't go to well. That'* 50% odds on a very small sample size.

(offered in explanation why nobody mentioned it)

Great. Yours does according to you, and the first one didn't. That'* 50%, and a very small sample size as I mentioned above.

u forgot shadowfax217 too. he had no probs either. and i read a few of the old JMB threads and they never came back and scanned to say it was caused by the JMB. and i think those ppl prolly had the 1 piece. i have the 2 piece. no possibilty of hard to hard sufaces rubbing or vibrating.

Slick, the topic author specifically asked for INTENSE vs. THRASHER. Frankly, there'* a good dozen OTHER options including custom that we could discuss, but that'* not the topic.

I run the JMB as well. I really like it, but my only problem is vibration, it rattles sometimes. I'm trying to find a way to secure it, but having no luck.
But otherwise it works for me.
