Is there really a difference using a K & N Filter ?

I always see those K & N filters on Ebay

So i am sure a few of you guys have them. What is the difference to the original ones ? Is there really a better gas / mileage or better performance or is it just louder ?

What are your experiences ?

yes they do have performance benefits, but most of what you find on ebay, are not genuine K&N tho, so you will want to make sure you get the right ones.

Yes, they are good. But as mentioned, if you want a K&N, then make sure you are not getting an imitation, or you will be wasting your $cash$.

You might be better off buying from an established K&N reseller rather than an ebay seller, (though not necessarily, I suppose).

We do know that this is a reputable site with good prices:

www.ajusa.com

OK, never mind on that one, as I just checked and they only ship international on orders of $500 or more, sorry. :(

That one certainly appears to provide a genuine K&N and as such is also a decent price for a kit.

As to the lighted center tail, here'* a decent thread that talks about it. This thread also has a link to the "How to" for it.

Light up Pontiac Tail Lights

And sorry, but I actually don't have a closer or cleaner pic of it at this time.

Just an FYI..K+N is no longer the best air filter. The green filter (forget what its called is)

And the open nose is normally better, especially for a blown application.

There is data out there to show that each of these 4 filters are better than all others:

K&N
AEM
AirHog (fram)
And what'* the one Marty sells?

You get the idea. Believe what test data you wish to. Whatever you do, buy a PREMIUM filter. Not an import knockoff. Half of those hold water. No kidding.
