temporary governor disablement

If you guys really want, and you can set up a closed road where I can legally test the top speed of the GTP for free in my area, my father and I would probably have no problem doing so, we already have the limiter removed, and we have 420 supercharged horses, and 450 supercharged lb. ft. so I think we could tell you about as fast as you will ever get your car to go. Let me know...

Need to clear the air on the Boat'* ABS comment. The VSS is in the Transaxle, and is unrelated to the ABS or Traction systems. Opening the signal from the VSS will have no effect on ABS whatsoever. It'* a standalone system, and in your car, Boat, the PCM doesn't even know you have ABS or Traction. These systems are controlled by the EBCM, and it doesn't communicate with the PCM.

I'm pretty certain you'll lose lockup, but you won't be in lockup under accelleration anyway. I'd bet the gear solonoid would remain in whatever gear it was last, but the only way to find out is to try it. Having a scantool on the car when you did it would be cool. I don't think I'd try it without one, cuz that'* the only way to be sure what happened when you opened the vss circuit.
Boat, on your car the VSS is only a 2 wire system going to the PCM. Wire number A64 is yellow, and A65 is purple at the PCM and VSS.

Boat, is your PCM under the hood near the airbox, or above the passenger'* hush panel in the car? That'* where you'll find the wires......or you can find the two wires at the electrical connector on the transaxle, down below your TB.
My scantool cost about 125. On the cheap end. It'll read your stuff with a different cable.

What I'm wondering here is what the PCM will do when it sees no road speed signal from the VSS... If there is nothing there at all will the PCM see that as 0 and shift the tranny back into first gear? I'm thinking without the VSS the PCM will be confused...
