If you go 3 inch sewer pipe you can only go single. Do not do a single 3" and then split it to a dual pipe system, you will screw it up. It'* either single or two small pipes from all the way at the cat. But dual systems lose power in a car like this with our headers or exhaust manifolds, whatever you want to call them. But I will be showing why I got 3" exhaust soon enough... Heh heh.

I know this exhaust shop that will machine my manifold for $45 CDN.
I was thinking, 3" single to muffler then, dual 2.5" out to either side like the SSEi'* but with better chrome tips!

I had a Magnaflow Camaro muffler (#12266) sitting in the box outside in the garage. It is a 2.5" in, dual 2.25" out on either side. Haven't had the time to install it yet (been on vacation for the last week or so) but I plan to top it off with some 2.25" stainless steel tips. I'll have them up high where they will not be easily seen (since I have the SE rear fascia). If it does sound ricey I can alway weld the stocker back on, no harm done.

DeathRat you will sacrifice performance for looks but that is always the tradeoff in any car. Just letting you know so you are not disappointed if you dont get as much power as you wanted.

I have the 80 Series Crossflow Flowmaster for a LS1($80 Summit). It is 3" in and 2.5" out. The muffler has outlets on opposite sides of the muffler. I run the 2.5" into Borla dual angled round tips ($80 ea. Summit). It cost me $100 to have everything installed. The car feels like it lost some low-end but I am not sure it actually did. I do not know how it compares to stock because I bought it used and it had dual Supertrapps on it when I bought it. It is a lot louder than the Supertrapps but it is not too loud. It kind of sounds like the old GN'* with flowmasters on it.

I know my cat is a 3" outlet since I have my catback exhaust welded directly to it (no my exhaust is not removable right now) so... I don't know about anyone else though...

I hacked off my muffler and basically put on a cherry bomb. I had good noticable diffrence in power. I want to remove my cat (And get a bolt on system for emmission time) and straight pipe 3 inches all the way out the back. I do want to get a decent muffler so I get good sound but don't get pulled over (the cops are brutal out here. I saw a neon with loud exhaust get pulled over 2 times in 1 night. 95 bucks each time)
