Default Stupid Hi-flo cat question

I'm going to get a new hi-flow cat just because I want one.

I went to www.car-sound.com to see what to get. I looked at the universal one since those are hi-flow. Car-sound recommends a 94806 model so I double checked with BC and it mentions 94806 but also talks about it being slightly more restricted than the 91000 model.

Is the 94806 the one I should get?

I'd go with the 91000 verison. I bought the 3"in & 3" out one from www.Hoganperformance.com

It should be noted that I really don't have any major mods on the car at this moment. The mods I have is the gutted airbox with KN and fake PEMS (probably will get true PEMS) and the INTENSE Level 1 pkg for the L36 as the last mod I'll do

You planning on doing a rear O2 sensor delete (or spoof), or will you be retaining the rear O2?

How will you be installing the cat? (DIY, clamps, weld)?

In my experience the S2 exhaust has the O2 bung far enough back that you can swap the cat and still have 4 or more inches of piping before the O2.

Not sure which one you are looking at, as I didn't look it up... but please keep in mind you do not need one with the O2 built into it.

Thats the same one I went with when it was time to replace the CAT on the General. I did not lose any low end grunt either and my car was basically set up the same as yours Cody.

Why did you think that was a stupid question, Cody? Sure, there'* been plenty of hi-flow CAT discussions, but you did do your research first, right?

Yes, I did my research but there were many conflicting ideas to the point where I got confused. In one particular thread, I can't remember it, Ben was concerned about the efficency of the 91000 model with the weight limit being 4500 and possiblity of getting it too hot. Yet car-sound recommneds a 94806. Some people got completely different cats.

I just wasn't sure which one is best
