Straight answer about nitrous?
Allright, I've been chewing on this nitrous thing for awhile now and I've finally decided I'm gonna do it, the problem being I can't get a straight answer from anyone about if I should use a wet or dry system. I've decided to go with the ZEX system because of the pressure switch module that won't let the mixture go lean on me ( burn a piston, ouch ) and because I'm only looking to jet the system for a max. of 75HP, I'm not looking to buy a new tranny anytime soon.
Lets here from the experts out there on WET or DRY nitrous for a 1994 SSEi and more importantly why one particular system is a better ( or safer more importantly ) way to go.
Thanks in advance.

ok, this is my opinion on the nitrous issue.
if you have forced induction, go wet
but with a roots style supercharger, its kinda hard to do. if you wanna do it right with a roots SC, this is how but it costs big bux to do it. NOS has a system that has it nozzles under each injector. it cost about 1200 bux for the system to do all 6 injectors.
if i ever went to nitrous on my car, which may be next spring , this is the system ill go with.

I agree, with a SC its best to go wet with direct port injection. Also, don't think you will not damage your tranny with just a 75 dry shot.
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but I'm giving you a straight answer. You got an SSEi though, so your L67 can handle nitrous better than my L27. However, I upgraded my ignition system before even thinking of the laughing gas. Take your time bud.

I'm not hearing alot of support for dry nitrous here, I'm not looking to go gorilla, I'd jet it for a max 50 hp dry shot, still too much for the stock fuel system and tranny?

Don't know why you want to blow your engine/trans. Leave the NO for the strip and people who have the time/money to replace parts when needed. Instead of NO, why not port your intake and heads, and change your exhaust system to a free flow system.

Nitrous
Ok ... Here'* My 2 cents....
I'm going with a Zex wet system. This system is charged by a plate between the TB and the Blower. I talked with a lot of Locals and the wet system makes the most sense because it won't starve your engine for gas (lean out) Running the mixture through the SC won't do any harm to the SC. Also the plate system is a lot less expensive than the direct port. Also if we are only looking for another 75hp we don't need the direct port system. We are not running anywhere near the limit of nitrous in this engine...
I'm making my own plate using the gasket as a pattern. The nozzle will fit in the sid of the plate and avoid the MAF sensor.....

my only concern about a wet system being ryun through the SC is that if the fuel puddles, "BOOM" and also the rotors in the SC are teflon coated, and the fuel will start to peel it away.
these were my only concerns about using the plate system as you said. :?

Are there aluminum parts in the Supercharger? Nitrous EATS ALUMINUM! Ever seen those hondas run a NO system? They blow after a while. I think avoiding the MAS is a good idea, but i don't konw if you want nitrous poolin in the SC like was commented up there.

I have seen a dry system used with great success. Yes directly drilled into the TB and the SC and the rest of the car is fine. If you go for a system a zex is good if you want to say your running a 75 shot. The issue with zex is it has inferior jets to NX T&T and Venom. So if you go with any of the other kits a 75 shot will blow your car apart. I was told by my supplier that 40 is lots 50 better be ready with improvement for the engine and any more than that with a True! Rated (NX T&T) jet and you will blow apart. I have not done this with a good kit on my car so I cant say from experience but my provider has been doing this for over 14 years and makes the same amount of money on all the kits. 60.00 I can have your TB professionally setup for a dry system.
I will enquire about individual port system to try and reduce the cost for club members. With the purchase of any NOS system I will charge cost on the bungs being added to the manifold.
