You will notice the 92-95 SC Bonneville gets a 16.1 and the non sc 95 gets a 15.4.

The non-sc Bonneville according to these stats is Faster in 1995.

The newer 96-2000 sc Bonneville is 15.8

The newer 1998 non sc Bonneville is set at 16.2

Tamara is right about the 1995 Bonneville being the fastest according to this info.

Hmmm I also have a 1995, but I have killed it so I will not be able to attest to the numbers at this point.

Some of that data is in error. I've seen other numbers that are closer to accurate, but don't remember where. I'll look for it again.

The 95SE is NOT faster than the 95 SSEi, but is faster than the 95 SSE or SLE because of the weight difference.

Ok, smartass. Watch it. You're two posts away from becoming a Certified Bonneville nut.

What it all boils down to is that regardless of the improved Series 2 performance in the 95 SE, SSE, or SLE, you can't make up for the difference of what the M62 does to the torque and Horspower curves, even if the SSEi is heavier and puts out 225 hp compared to the 95 Series 2 NA at 205.

The Supercharged Series 1 makes higher torque much lower down, and puts it to good use.

Willwren I think that would be another good techinfo topic to add. Between you and me we can better accurately guess the 1/4 miles times of Series I and II Bonneville'* based on our experience. 60' would be more difficult but we could have a more accuarte reading and even break it down between SE, SLE, SSE, and SSEi and give references for calculators for 1/4 times and such and help people get a better idea. A better idea like if you have this option add approx this weight. Also ideas to drop weight in your Bonneville for better gas mileage and more performance.
