Default Starting MODS

I'm planing on upgrading my supercharger pulley and belt this spring... I was just wondering if there will be any problems with just a pulley and belt swap. What will happen with performance if I don't do the T-stat, pcm and all the other goodies???

The pros will come in and give you everything you need to know about where to start, but I just wanted to point out 2 things:

1) Before you begin, make sure that you have a scantool which can read data from your PCM (And not just codes). Once you start modding, you really need to keep an eye on engine performance.

2) There is an AWESOME techinfo article on first performance mods. A great description on where you need to begin and what to expect as you progress. You can find this article here: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=91.

I agree with this. I was thinking more along the lines of the remainder of the items on INTENSE'* level 1 performance package.
The PCM, CAI, spark plugs...

I'm not looking to spend $450. I'm just looking to see what I can get away with NOT doing. At the same time, I'm trying to avoid any damage to the vehicle.

if you only drop ONE pulley size, you can get away with just a 180* t-stat and a gutted airbox with a drop-in K&N filter, any more than that and you will have to start doing supporting mods or you can do damage.[b]

I run a 3.4 pulley with a custom Fender well intake, stock belt , colder plugs, stock thermostat without any problem, 2-3* KR max. on scantool.

But for the price of the thermostat, it worth installing it.
Plugs are not soooo expensive.
And i did my intake for 40$ filter included.

The best is to get it scanned after the install, then you will see if you need more supporting mods, a 3.5 pulley is may be more suited for you.
