Default Stant 180* tstat

Is the regular one okay or do I need to get the heavy-duty one?

Has anyone had trouble with it throwing a code in the winter? We have subzero temps alot in the winter here in Illinois.

I dont' see why regular wouldn't be ok ( I don't know about brand so can't help you there ) .. and it'* fine in the winter.. at least I did it 2 winters now.. been too lazy to put the 195 back in.. the only thing is ( especially in christmas shoppin time ) without the engine cover.. your car will cool down pretty quick for stop shop and go traffic..

i put it in today and ran it without the engine cover. It runs pretty cool now (160-180*). I think I will put the engine cover back on. What temp do you get when you are driving in the winter?
