Default SPILT ON MOD?

I looking at my car, the beauty she is. I want to make her scream down the track. But then I am out of that phase of my life, have a trubo'd car still so I am thinking of leaving NA. So here is where I stand right now on car, want to go NA now.

Done so far

New OEM fuel pump-had failed
DIY FWI-k&n filter on end
New OEM coils, wires, plugs
Repairs vacums lines replaced as needed, looked bad
Removed MAF screen
Repaired trasn cooler lines, both leaked
Replaced sway bar end liks FT
New brakes all around/ turned drums and rotors

Ideas for next to do (Have a 93' block)

PEM, have a set off of a 93" to port
PLIM, have another of of a 93 to port
Different plugs(need input here and your reasons)
93 Heads with springs. mill heads, should be able to add springs/rocker on this head (y/n)
Update FWI have a better design in mind want to try some other fitment idea.

So please give some feed back, still have some reading/thinking on ported how to and so on, read some threads on it just no all done yet.
Mike

the only place selling S1 valvetrain stuff is crow cams out of australia porting the exaust mani wont do much for you id build my own if you got a spare set as far as spark plugs go i prefer NGK or denso but thats on you to decide if youre staying n/a go ahead and get a 180* thermostat and get a Jet Chip for it also gasket matching the LIM will help out some and if youre looking for exaust mods dont go bigger than 2.5 you will lose power with a 3' hope that answered your question

91PA, www.zzperformance sells valvetrain parts for the S1. A 92 would simply have to upgrade to the 93 or newer heads, and the YT 1.8 rocker arms will bolt right up. Compcams sells springs, and we use the same lifters as the S2. So Crow isn't the only vendor/manufacturer.

In addition, I wouldn't reccommend 'gasket matching' the LIM on an L27. You'd have to be pushing some major flow numbers to need that. PORT match them to the heads, nothing more.

The exhaust manifolds have an OEM weld on the inside of the flange. Removing that after stitch-welding the outside will decrease turbulence and increase flow velocity.

feets, he doesn't need exhaust manifolds from a 93. There'* nothing wrong with his, and he has no EGR. 93 and newer manifolds (and 92 L67 manifolds) all have EGR fittings in them. His 92 manifolds will bolt right up to the 93 heads.

I hope that clears the air on a few misconceptions in this topic.

I think I did not get all I need out, I am not going to put 93 block in car just using a donor for project.
I did not think of a computer on this car.. Hmm how much power is there to be done by computer on these cars, any number from before and after, nothing in search, or my search on it.

So the 93" heads are the way to go, I thought so,I am confused on spark plugs, I rub NGK in my Miata, but in a Pontiac, seems like a wrong to me. IMO, but Ithings change all the time, so what NGK are people running so I can get right ones.

ok so eriously doing that mod with the exaust manifold will get how much power? i cant see a effective gain using that mod and all this time ive been on ZZ and never seen those rockers that pisses me off next check comes those rockers are mine baby! thanks for that info and gasket matching just promotes efficency and airflow he already has the LIM off the car so why not?

Everyone that has ported their EM'* on the 87-94/95 3800'* has noticed it. Turbulence (the primary concern) and reversion are never good things.

You will need 93/94 L27 heads or 93-95 L67 heads (they are all the same) to make thos rockers work.

GASKET matching is a very bad idea. I flow more than any Series 1 on this Forum, that I don't even gasket match. You want to PORT match the LIM to the Heads. Not even the highest-flowing S2 L67'* Gasket match.
