Hockey pucks. You don't need the engine moving around to much, you can brake things that way.

Trent and I are working on a new design for solid motor mounts. Just got the material today, we will see how they turn out this weekend. If successful, should be bringing a few to Dan'* meet.

I got enough material to make 6-7 of them. I'll let you know how they turn out.

I'm not sure if they will be suitable for use on the older cars, or for the other locations for the 2000+ cars. I was only thinking about the front one for the 2000+ cars since they seem to be the biggest trouble makers.

I will take a look at the other locations for motor mounts and get some specs on what it will take to make them out of the plastic I found.

2000+ are different than 95-99'*, which are slightly different from 92-94'*. Although I'd like to see an 00 front bracket tried on a 95-99 to see if it lines up with the subframe.

Meanwhile when I did headers it was necessary for me to relocate the strut on the front trans mount. This made the mount mostly solid. Yet the rubber was retained and there is no odd vibration when hitting TCC lockup (like 00+'* get with hockey pucks). I'm putting down copious amounts of power and haven't had an issue with it in 4 years.

Sorry, I'm missing something here, what do you mean by the rubber was retained? You put rubber on the outsides of the new mount, the mount is actually make of rubber, wrapped in rubber?

Just curious so maybe I can copy what you did.
