actually, the photos look worse than the actual item. there was no sludge in the valley.

I am amazed how clean that looks. IMO, one of the cleanest I have seen on the club, despite the miles.
Here was mine somewhere between 90-100k (not the whole valley but it all looked the same)

Heres mine at abot 186K on the clock. Castrol Syntec Oil was used by the previous owner, and I decided to stay with it until Bill put in fully synthetic Mobile 1

the 97 has a maf support that is part of the tb, the 99 just has the maf stick into the tb
