ok, so it looks like i'm gonna be junking the van. same guy i bought the sabre from offered me $250 for the van as it sits. looks like i'm gonna take it.
i'll pour that money straight back into the car focusing cheifly on brakes, since they're desperatly needed. this thing is a barge.
the rear brakes are fine but the fronts are shot. needs pads and rotors. it will probably just get stock rotors unless i can find some cheap(ish slotted). and some nice grippy pads. any recomendations on that front.
that will probably take the bulk of the cash, maybe leaving enough for sway bar end links.
anyone got any other suggestions? ears always open...

I can get rotors and pads up here for less then $100... and they are not the super cheap ones... not the greatest either, but I have never had a problem...
$20 - $25 per rotor
$25 - $50 for pads

Oreilly sells Wagner brand rotors with a lifetime warranty. Theyre about 60 bucks a pop for me, should be about 50 for you.
I was told by multiple sources the warranty covers warpage and all that good stuff.
I believe the NAPA Bendix rotors are also lifetime warrantied for roughly the same price.
Ive been pleased with my Wagner rotors and Raybestos ceramics.

Hmmm... spend on good brake parts and new fluid. Any money left over I would start looking at what parts of the suspension are really worn out and need replaced. (i.e. the conservative approach..spend on only what it really needs to keep it on the road.)
