Well fellows, this isn't a project i am undertaking right away. It'll be like july-august, before I can do such a project. I have another car, which I will be putting on the road, its the 4 banger citation, and it'll be on the road june, sometime, while I work on the Buick.
I am still considering whether to do it. I have to check with the yards to see how much an entire engine and drivetrain will cost. I'm expecting somewheres in the 2 grand area, or more. If its too expensive, like over 3000, It probably won't be done. I'll just settle for the rims and paint job. Its really a waste of money from everyones view here. (not you guys, lol) But my biggest concerns, is whether it'll get the same or better gas mileage, than what I am getting now, which is 10 liters per 100 kms highway.
I was curious whether a subframe would bolt up. I know these subframes are different, as they have the 2 mounts on the rear, and the single on the front. Do all Lesabres, Bonny'*, Park Ave'* Riveria, etc have the same subframe?
Thanks again fellas, for the input.
The subframe should swap. Or you can keep your subframe, that part doesn't matter as much. If you go with your stock subframe two of the four engine mounts will work and the other two have to be modified. Or you can go with the newer style mounts, as others have mentioned. You should be able to find a complete setup for under $2000, but it depends on your area.
