Default So ive been thinking....

I posted this on a local forum, and i figured it would be good here too for input

Now that im headed for engine #5.... I think im gonna blow the dust off the S1X and pop that bad boy in the new engine and go fast again hehe.

Planned setup:
S1X
3.2 Pulley
105# Springs
Modified Retainers
Intake
Pacesetters W/ Full Exhaust
Flowmatched Injectors
Walbro Pump
Shift Kit
PCM
Oil Pressure Kit
False Knock Kit

Now I already have all this stuff from my 3rd engine so its just a matter of finding all of it in my basement and making it work again..... All I have to do is pickup new gaskets

I'd add a beefier timing set and I'd say you will be good to go

Its got a shift kit in it and a very oversized cooler, but im waiting until it blows, then ill get a replacement.... Its actually handling all the abuse pretty good, it did damn good with the old cammed engine with 6200 shifts, was able to bump you into the seat on the shifts and broke the tires loose on the 1-2 a couple times

How many miles on the trans?

I'm debating a cam off the bat or building up the trans first.

My trans went to ~174k with the last 44k or so being modified. I'm surprised how well it lasted. I put my torque converter in its death bed within 72 hours of having my cammed motor running back in Sept. But aside from the converter the trans it'* self was still in decent shape... So just I got a whole new trans then

the trans has around 85k on it. and it has a pressure control issue where every once in a while it sets a p1811 code. the trans shop thinks its a worn boost or power valve because i replaced the PC solenoid when i first got it.
