Since its a scam why do so many people say it works?

First off, German Engineering aint that good, I been there seen it, lol.

If you look at his comments, they all say good shipping and fast transactions. I saw one that said something about it working on a Benz, and that guy is full of **** because he dont own a Benz. There are some negative feedback comments from people with common sense on there. Trust us, it dont work Save up, and buy yourself a real configured PCM instead of a parasite type product.

its not the fact that the product dosent work....our cars are smarter, and figures out that that product is just a resistor and the PCM adjusts to bring everything back to normal

Exactly. It is only effective for a short timeon days the outside tempature is above somethinf like 70^. If it'* colder out, or it'* been installed for any length of time, it does absolutetly nothing. If you search around the forums here there is quite a bit on them. I think there are a few that even go into detail on why they are junk (technical details).

The simple truth is:

if a 49cent resistor could add 10-20 HP, wouldnt they put one in for the factory?

All this does is tricks your PCM into thinking it'* cold outside and therefore "optimizes timing". In reality it does little to nothing and cannot change commanded timing by more than 1 degree (and that'* on a hot day where you probably can't use the extra 1 degree of timing anyway). If you don't believe us or your curiosity is still got the best of you, buy an 8k resistor from Radio shack for .50 and try it out.

I'm not saying the resistor works, because it doesn't, however the point about them putting it in if it would make more power is not necessarily true. They give it as much power as they feel is reliable. Otherwise, why wouldn't they just put smaller pullies on L67'* stock? I mean, you can put on a 3.5 pulley and gain 20+hp, and it would actually be less material than the stock 3.8 pulley because its smaller, so it wouldn't cost any more.

That and. according to the show I saw on the Heistory Channel, GM tells them how much horsepower a sepcific model will put out. They then do thier magic to limit the car to that number. There was a big stink inside GM over this in the 70'* due to them saying a Trans Am should make so much horsepower, and the Trans Am guys at Pontiac sayin' "Yeah right..." Well, we'll just do this, say this, and hope we don't get caught going ober that number...

So, somewhere in the GM food chain, some lawyer or somebody said "The Bonneville will only put out so many horsies" and the engineers had to set up the PCM or whatever to comply. I'm sure the engineers are probably car guys, and given thier way we'd have all kinda extra power.....

I just fint the whole thing with electric superchargers, Gas tornado fuel savers and chips kinda sad.
