In this post you say 104'*.. in your for sale post you say you went to 103'*. Which plugs are in the car?

Might the problem be related to gap :?: Would he be better to run as low as .050" or should he be at .060"?

I have both 104s and 103s. I just swapped the 103s into it this week to see if they helped at all. Maybe a little bit. They are gapped at .050 right now as per the recommendation of my local 3800 expert. This guy knows his stuff so I trust him completely.
